Effective: August 6, 2026. Product: Lacey (from-scratch C assistant; public cloud on Hetzner; optional local Windows edition).
Plain-language terms, not legal advice. By using Lacey you agree to these terms.
Lacey is an experimental AI chatbot. She is not a lawyer, doctor, therapist, or financial advisor. Answers may be wrong, incomplete, or outdated.
You must be at least 13 (or the digital-consent age where you live). Under 18 requires a parent/guardian's permission.
Public use requires a one-time join (name, email, age + terms/privacy acceptance). You may delete your account anytime in Settings by typing delete.
Lacey may generate a single downloadable file (script/snippet). Review all code before running it. Multi-file projects are not available on the public site yet. You are responsible for what you download and execute.
Signed-in users may also download Lacey for Windows (local PC edition). That software is experimental. You are responsible for access mode choices, confirmed actions on your machine, and anything you run after Lacey writes files.
Cloud Lacey runs on the public website: chat, learning help, optional Paperclip images (beta), and single-file downloads. It does not remotely control anyone's PC. Local Windows Lacey runs on your computer after you download it from Settings; cloud chat will point you there for PC control.
Lacey is provided “as is.” No promise of uptime, accuracy, or fitness for any purpose. Use at your own risk.
To the maximum extent allowed by law, the operator is not liable for damages from use of the service, including bad advice, downtime, or data loss.
Terms may update as Lacey grows. Continued use after changes means you accept them. Check this page periodically.
